Qatar came under direct Iranian fire Thursday, as the Islamic Republic launched 14 ballistic missiles and four drones against the Gulf state starting at 11:51 AM, the Qatari Ministry of Defense (MOD) announced.

The Qatari Armed Forces intercepted 13 of the 14 missiles, the last fell into Qatari territorial waters ,and successfully neutralized all four drones. No casualties were reported.

In a firm statement, the MOD declared that Qatar possesses "the full capabilities and resources to protect and preserve the sovereignty of the State," sending a clear signal to Tehran: the attack will not go unanswered diplomatically.

Authorities urged citizens, residents, and visitors to stay calm, follow official instructions, and ignore rumors.
