Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season and renowned fashion designer Elie Saab signed an agreement on Saturday for a collaboration that will bring together fashion and entertainment.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in London between CEO of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Faisal Bafarat and Elie Saab CEO Elie Saab Jr. in the presence of GEA Chairman Turki Al al-Shikh and Elie Saab.

The MoU will see both sides collaborating “during Riyadh Season 2024 in order to create a unique experience that combines fashion and entertainment,” according to a statement.

As part of the agreement, the house of Elie Saab will launch a collection inspired by the spirit of Riyadh Season for Fall 2025.

“In Riyadh Season we work to connect with the biggest names in different fields which enriches the entertainment options,” al-Shikh said in the statement. “Fashion is one of those,” he added, noting that Elie Saab is one of the celebrated names in the industry.

For his part, the Lebanese designer expressed his happiness on joining Riyadh Season 2024.

“We will create something unprecedented and new to celebrate the important occasion in Riyadh, a city that supports creativity and culture diversity in the region.”

Since its launch in 2019, Riyadh Season has welcomed citizens, residents and visitors from around the world who have enjoyed the season’s multiple zones that provide various entertainment, musical and sporting experiences.
