The installation of a Saudi Olympic village at Les Invalides, an emblematic site of the French military in Paris, for a period of four months is under consideration and has sparked opposition from right-wing deputies who have questioned the government, according to sources on Thursday.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could, for a fee, set up an Olympic village starting May 10 within the grounds of Les Invalides, possibly near the military necropolis where Napoleon is buried.

Les Invalides notably houses the Army Museum, Napoleon's tomb, and the Museum of the Order of the Liberation.
