For the first time, Hamas has issued an apology to the residents of Gaza for the hardships caused by the ongoing war with the Israeli military, lasting nearly six months.

In a detailed statement released on its Telegram channel, the Palestinian Islamist movement expressed regrets for the difficulties brought by the conflict but reiterated its commitment to continuing the fight for Palestinian "victory and freedom."

Hamas acknowledged the exhaustion of the Gaza population and expressed gratitude, highlighting efforts to mitigate hardships, including attempts to control prices amidst the conflict.

To minimize further suffering for civilians, it would be better for the Islamist organization to surrender and lay down its arms.

However, this is not an option for them.

The more casualties there are, the more Hamas benefits in terms of its image in the Arab world.

The movement is willing to sacrifice its entire population for 'victory and freedom'.

This is a logic that Western countries have not internalized.
