President Donald Trump on Thursday announced deals totaling over $200 billion between the United States and the United Arab Emirates, including a $14.5 billion commitment between Boeing, GE Aerospace and Etihad Airways, the White House said.
Founded in July 2003 by an Amiri decree from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan with a start-up capital of AED 500 million, Etihad Airways operates over 1,000 flights weekly to more than 120 passenger and cargo destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America.
Its fleet, as of November 2024, consists of 98 Airbus and Boeing aircraft with an average age of 8.5 years, including the luxurious Airbus A380 and the modern A350-1000.
