The United Arab Emirates has delivered 30 tonnes of food assistance to Kenya through the UAE Aid Agency, supporting families affected by severe drought and worsening climate conditions.

Kenya is currently facing intensified climatic disruptions, including the La Niña phenomenon, which has led to reduced rainfall, food insecurity, water shortages, and environmental degradation in several regions.

Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity, particularly during Ramadan.

He emphasized the country’s ongoing support for nations confronting disasters, crises, and limited access to essential food supplies.

In coordination with national donors and charitable organizations, UAE aid teams continue to provide rapid humanitarian response and early recovery assistance in climate-related emergencies.

The latest shipment underscores the UAE’s continued efforts to assist vulnerable communities worldwide and help mitigate the impact of worsening climate challenges.
