The 2026 Russian National Arabian Horse Championship opens on Saturday at Maxima Park, in the village of Gorki Sukharevsky, Dmitrovsky District, Moscow Region.
It is organised in cooperation with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS).
About 30 horses, from 18 owners and studs, will compete. The event aims to promote Arabian horse breeding and strengthen cooperation among owners and breeders.
The EAHS has funded prize money for the qualifying classes and trophies for the final winners. The society says its involvement reflects its drive to expand international cooperation, develop Arabian horse championships and preserve the breed as part of the UAE's national heritage.
Maxima Park is one of Russia's leading specialised equestrian complexes and hosts local and international events throughout the year.
