Early Saturday morning, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a targeted operation aimed at freeing four hostages held by Hamas since October 7.

The operation took place in Al-Nuseirat and central Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 53 Hamas militants.

The hostages were found in residential areas within the civilian population, heavily guarded by dozens of Hamas members. The IDF’s intervention was precise, focusing on minimizing civilian casualties while ensuring the successful rescue of the hostages.

In response to the operation, Hamas claimed that 55 civilians were killed.

This statement has been dismissed by the IDF as false and typical of Hamas' propaganda efforts.

U.S. President Joe Biden says he welcomed the release of the four hostages freed in an IDF operation He said the United States would not stop its efforts until all the hostages are home
