Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty is set to arrive in Beirut on Friday, according to diplomatic sources.

The visit includes a scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. with his Lebanese counterpart, the outgoing Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib.

This visit marks the third by a representative of a country actively involved in diplomatic efforts to ease regional tensions following the war in Gaza.

Abdelatty's visit follows those of U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein and French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné earlier this week. Egypt has played a significant role as a mediator, striving to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

During his visit, Minister Abdelatty is expected to meet with key Lebanese officials to discuss the ongoing crisis and explore avenues for regional stability. Egypt's involvement underscores its pivotal role in seeking a resolution to the conflict and promoting peace in the region.
