Iran's army chief says Israeli threats remain, state media say

Two Israeli airstrikes hit the Dahieh district in Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, following an evacuation warning issued by the IDF to residents in the area, Lebanese media reported Sunday evening.
Saudi-owned Al-Hadath TV quoted Israeli political sources as saying there is a “window of opportunity” to reach a cease-fire in Lebanon by Thursday.
The sources noted that the IDF has renewed its support for a cease-fire in Lebanon, with plans to shift forces to Gaza and the West Bank.
The unprecedented Hezbollah attacks earlier Sunday were described as part of a “final showdown,” with Israeli sources warning of an imminent escalation along the Lebanese front in the coming hours.
