Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz declared on Tuesday evening the urgent need to "quickly eliminate" Yahya Sinouar, who was recently appointed by Hamas as its new political leader, replacing Ismail Haniyeh who was killed in Tehran last week.
"The appointment of the arch-terrorist Yahya Sinouar as the head of Hamas, in place of Ismail Haniyeh, is another reason to swiftly eliminate him and erase this vile organization from the map," Katz stated on the social media platform X.
Katz's statement underscores the heightened tensions and ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, following the recent leadership change in the militant organization.
