Russian authorities have announced the implementation of electronic visas for Jordanian citizens, according to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The new system eliminates many of the conventional hurdles associated with obtaining a visa. Jordanian nationals will no longer need invitation letters, prior hotel bookings, or any additional documents proving the purpose of their travel. Instead, they will have access to unified electronic visas designed to streamline the application process.

This initiative covers a wide range of travel purposes, including:

  • Tourism,
  • Private visits,
  • Business trips,
  • Participation in scientific, cultural, economic, sports, and social events.

The electronic visa will be valid for 60 days from the date of issuance. During this period, travelers can stay in Russia for up to 16 days, including arrival and departure dates.

The streamlined application process is expected to encourage more Jordanian visitors to explore opportunities in Russia, whether for leisure, professional, or cultural purposes.
